@cybergibbons You have to have hands on access to the device in order to modify it. A "man in the middle" intercept between us and the user involves infiltrating UPS or hijacking a UPS truck. Buying the unit and reselling on Ebay kind of violates the assumption that we provide the product.

@AiteCoin In a nutshell, we use the Blockchain itself for what it was intended: - a distributed, immutable ledger. As such, we need no memory anywhere in our process. The Blockchain is our memory. The concept is so simple, natural and innocent that I am shocked the idea took so long.

@exist34551199 Its hacked when someone gets the money. All else is an attempted hack. Saying "I didn't get the money, but was able to root the device, or: I was able to make the device a video player, is meaningless. When someone buys the device, they want to know you can't hack their money.

When I say there is no memory on BitFi, I am talking about storage of any piece of information regarding the identification of the wallet, the seed keys, or the pass phrase. Obviously there is RAM, because there is an operating system. But the RAM is devoid of all meaningful data

@flyinghendrix Indeed. But how do you change anything while the user has it? The only workable vector for getting it into any users hands is to pretend it is original and sell on Ebay. Far more useful to build your own device, put it in our case and sell. Why go to the trouble of hacking?
