@flyinghendrix I was born in the last year of WWII. It was a horrific war killing 75 million people. The entire world was on the edge of collapse and Japan bowed to fight on forever. You were not there. You cannot judge.

1960. I was 14. America was still intact as Nation moving on the foundations of freedom. It was a thrilling time to be alive. Today, 60 years later, America is growing into a totalitarian Police State, fueled by the power of information gleaned from electronic surveillance.

@flyinghendrix @UranusTonight It was war. 100 times as many civillians were killed by conventional bombs, on both sides, during the war than from the two atomic bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki, which killed a total of 210,000 civilians. Why single out the U.S.?

@shortdayt Yes. But I have lived in 6 other countries and have trevelled in over 30 more. I promise you we had more freedom, up until the mid 60's, than any nation ever created.
