Crypto prediction markets: funding, staking and settlement explained

Funding an account, placing a stake, receiving a settlement credit and withdrawing coins are four different operations. Understanding that sequence prevents a pending transfer or an estimated payout from being mistaken for money already received.
Check eligibility and terms first
Only use a service where you are legally permitted and meet its age and location requirements. Read the market rules, fees, custody arrangement and withdrawal process before depositing. Cryptocurrency payment does not exempt a service or its users from applicable requirements.
Funding creates an account balance, not a bet
Use current receiving instructions from the service, verify the asset and network, and retain the transaction reference privately. A transaction appearing in a wallet is not necessarily the same as the service crediting it. Do not send again merely because a page has not refreshed; reconcile the original transfer first.
On 0xNull, keep your account token private. It is an access credential, not a harmless username. Do not put it in public screenshots or paste it into an unofficial support conversation.
Read the accepted stake
Before confirming, check the market, selection, amount and close time. Keep the confirmation reference. Our pool-system explanation describes the distinction between pooled participation and fixed odds; read the current market terms for the actual conditions. An estimate displayed before closure is not a guarantee of the eventual return.
For a simple hypothetical fixed-odds example, a stake of 10 units at decimal odds of 2.00 returns 20 units if it wins, including the original stake, before any separately applicable charges. That arithmetic does not describe every pool product and is not a live quote.
Resolution is not withdrawal
A verified outcome can produce a credit inside the service. Moving that credit to your own wallet is a separate process with its own status and potential fee. Check both the account record and the resulting wallet receipt; never give support a seed phrase to investigate a delay.
Set an affordable loss limit in advance. Do not use essential money, borrow to participate or increase stakes to recover a loss. If the process or terms remain unclear, leave the funds in your own wallet.
Questions
Is depositing the same as placing a bet?
No. Funding, stake acceptance, settlement and withdrawal are separate stages.
Does an estimated return guarantee a payout?
No. Check whether the market is pooled or fixed-odds and read the accepted terms.
